![]() ![]() What Alice was unaware of at the time was that Pamela's son Jason had mysteriously returned to life some years previously, supposedly resurrected by his mother through some form of dark magic. Pamela's rampage was brought to an end when she was decapitated by Alice Hardy. Pamela warned against him reopening the camp but her warning went unheeded, and so she took it upon herself to stop the reopening by murdering Christy and all of his staff. In 1979, a final attempt was made to reopen the camp by one Steve Christy. The police investigation turned up no leads or suspects and so Pamela was never arrested, thus she continued to kill whenever anyone attempted to reopen the camp. His body was never found and the camp was closed soon after.Ī year after Jason's death, Camp Crystal Lake was reopened and Pamela, driven mad with grief, murdered the negligent counselors whom she blamed for the loss of her son. The counselors that were supposed to be watching Jason completely ignored the bullying and had sex in the woods while Jason drowned in the lake. At the camp, Jason was tormented by both the campers and counselors and while he was being harassed by several children, he fell into the lake and drowned. One day in the summer of 1957, Pamela was unable to find a babysitter to look after her son and so took him with her to Camp Crystal Lake where she worked as a cook. She would not let her son attend school and instead attempted to tutor him herself. ![]() He was not like other children he suffered mental disabilities and facial deformities, causing his mother Pamela to resort to isolating him from the rest of the community. Jason Voorhees was born in 1946 in the small forest town of Crystal Lake, New Jersey. 1.8 Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday. ![]() 1.7 Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.1.6 Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood.1.5 Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. It went out and did what it was supposed to, but if you are more into the suspenseful horror films, and not hack and slash with a few jump scares, then Friday the 13th 2009 is not for you. I will give the movie a solid 7 out of 10. I like the new Jason because he is much more active in the role, much like the Jason from the 2nd and 3rd entries back in the early to mid 80s. THere were a few who were annoying, but that is part of the Friday The 13th scenario. Most of the cast was competent, better then many of the ones from the earlier films. You all know what happens next, so I won't say anything more. THis sister was involved with the first group of victims, and now there is this second group who know of nothing that has happened to the other group because it has been about six weeks since the first group went missing. THe one wrinkle added to the story is that one of the character's (Jared Padelecki from Supernatural on the WB) is brought into the story because he is looking for his sister. Young adults go camping, young adults die in nasty ways. It starts off with a pitiful prelude that goes back to 1980 and found me rolling my eyes, but afterward it gets better. ![]() Now on with the plot, which I really won't go into detail about because we already know what it's about. However if this is your type of thing, go see it. Horror movie fans who love creative killings will love it, but if you're not a horror movie fan of the slasher genre, then I really can't tell you to see this movie. After seeing this latest entry, which is really a remake of the first four films into one, I can't really say its bad. For me they have always been guilty pleasures, but not something I would recommend to fans not into gory movies where there are occasional scares but no real suspense built up. THe Friday the 13th films have never been what you would call good movies. ![]()
